When planning a meeting, it is first important to identify and think about what type of meeting you will be leading.  Will the meeting be for the purpose of: discovery, sharing, skill-building or task, planning, or a combination?  It is first important to set your goals, identify your ground-rules, and plan for your opening. One should then plan the primary learning step and objectives, plan the closing, and prepare an evaluation for attendees. Lastly, the leader will need to collect any materials needed for the meeting.

How to Make Changes

People approach making changes in different ways.  Some people first change their speech or the way they talk about certain issues, some first change their attitude, and some first change their behavior, altering an underlying decision or value about the change they wish to make.  When one person may need to start talking about making a change, another person will first make behavioral changes. Regardless if a person begins with their speech, behavior, or attitude, it is imperative that they make changes in all of these three corners in order to experience the full benefits of change and altering their underlying decision or value.
